It is defiantly looking like a Caldwell Christmas at our house. Our tree has been up since right before Thanksgiving and I am not a fan of jumping holidays but If I did not put it up at that very moment it might not be up now. Growing up one of my most favorite Christmas memories was going to the Christmas tree farm with my dad and picking out a tree. We would walk and walk and walk till I picked out the perfect one. And then cut it down and drag it back to load up. And from what I can remember a real tree was high robbery when it came to cost. I would love to do this with Lincoln but I'll have to wait till this tree disintegrates before I can purchase fancy real trees.
I was trying to explain to Lincoln that Santa like Christmas tree cakes. The Little Debbie's kind.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas wrapping paper that does not resemble Christmas. Notice the black paper theme for this year. I wanted chalkboard paper but was not about the pay $8.
Before Lincoln, I have always been afraid of kids. Not really knowing what to say or how to play with them. Which has always made me fall in to the bad aunt category. Now let me start off by saying I am an only. Only child and only grandchild so I have had minimal pediatric exposure. So when it came to my niece and nephew I have always showered with gifts verse physical love. I am trying to work on this. Last Saturday noght I purchased one of the gingerbread man kits from Wally World and took to my in-laws and decorated it with Noah. He did have a grand time.
The rest of the weekend consisted of church and visiting people, Grocery shopping, prepping for the week to come. Blah Blah Blah. The work week went pretty fast but more or less a blur. I have a full weekend this one as well. I hope to give a recap very soon.
