Weekend Ventures

As always the weekends come and go to fast. A major positive for this weekend was the gorgeous weather we had. High to mid 60's. We took advantage of this and went on some nice walks. And plus we have a weight in at work this Friday and I'd love to win the 2nd month prize. Saturday was also my nephews birthday party. Noah turned four and it was loads of fun.

I was really excited that this was Lincoln's first party to attend. We have been invited to others but have not be able to attend. Lincoln is a watcher. Like his mom.

I will say my SIL did a wonderful job with decorating and entertaining. I hate to wish my life away but watching all these little kids run around made me long for when Lincoln gets that age and has a friends birthday party.

It's very hard to get 2 children to look and smile at the same time.

I hope you enjoy your week.

Snow and Love

Yes. It finally happened. We got snow. And in true southern style, everything shut down. Some parts just north of us got more than we did but I bet there was about 3 inches in our yard. Sad moment when we took Lincoln to see, it was more ice. I guess there will be more snows in his lifetime. I did enjoy my few snow days in but Friday we a major catch up at work.

Please forgive that I look homeless but this was 6:30 am and high fashion was not on the mind.

Sweet little Mona even played outside. She loves to eat snow.

Then Friday was Valentines Day.... Which my husband is not a fan of and will come up with 1000 chessey excuses as to why I didn't receive flowers at work again. But that's ok. I guess I don't need a holiday to show him my love! But some random flowers would be nice.

I know I am wishing my life away but when I was making Lincoln's valentines, I got really excited thinking about him in daycare and school. And all the fun things to come. Yes this mom likes to be crafty.

Is this not the cutest pirate ever!!!!

Lincoln stays at my in laws with 2 other cousins every day. This is sweet Hattie. And I'm sure I can read her mind and she is saying, let go of my hand fool.  They are to cute together. I hope they grow up close and love each other dearly.

Since my husband is not a heart day fan that also means that we do not go out to eat. I thank the one year we did we waited for several hours past our reservation time to eat. So never again. We went to a local meat shop and had them steam us some crablegs and shrimp. Delish! We had also ordered a cheesecake from Juniors in NYC that was to die for. Did I mentioned we are still on a diet? I had 1 small piece. Even though I could had planted my face in the entire thing. It was wonderful. Maybe a new tradition cheesecake and crab?!? Nothing else really fancy for the weekend. I leave you with a food photo. Have a rockin Monday.

Non-Snow Days

Yes this is the view outside our front door and yes I am out of work for snow. I work 45 minutes away from home and they had snow yesterday and should have a lot today as well. I have enjoyed my 2 days home alone with Lincoln. I have forgotten very quickly how it is to stay home with a baby. But it has been wonderful.

If we do get piles of the white stuff, I'll make sure to post plenty of pics. But for the mean time I'll just enjoy my pj day.

Back at it.

Since we last met we have had a lot to go on. Whenever I decided to start this blog I guess I had much more time on my hands than I actually do.  We have a nice healthy 6 month old on our hands. He is really fun at this little age with such a personality developing. Oh the fun times to come.

I have started a new weight loss journey and it is going really good.  I have been seeing my weight  loss couch since January 6th and I'm down 16 lbs. no pills or sprays. Just a good change in diet. Exercise to add in later. I have a goal to get to by my 30th birthday in September. I'd sure like to hear how others with a baby find time to work out.   And those who say make time, here is the condensed version of my daily schedule: 4am wake up, try to get a shower but half way through Lincoln is screaming. then bottle and pray he goes back to bed. Drop off at day care at 6:30 then work...... Home 5:30 ish (on a good day) fix supper, feed Lincoln, bath time, play time, get ready for tomorrow, pick up house. Bottle for bed at 7:30ish, Lincoln in bed at 8. After that point Im Exhausted and can barely say up till 9. So please advise me!

Lots to come at the Caldwell. I have been Pinterest planning Lincoln's first birthday for a while. I'm hoping to start some projects. I know he will never remember but I will. We do have some time between now and July. I'm really going to try to get better at this blog. I'd also like to know how people discover blogs. It seems like a funny question cause I know how I find blogs. Hope your Monday it blessed.
